
Seasonal Program Manager
Description:
We are looking for a seasonal Program Manager to organize and coordinate the Minnesota Hmong New Year program. The individual will manage Hmong Cultural projects, tasks, some staff and volunteers over the next 5 months. In working directly with the board, the induvial will need to have strong project management skills and a sense of independence to ensure contracts are completed and deadlines are met in a timely manner. The individual will be able to lead policies and professional work practices while maintaining and tracking the event’s budget.
Work hours may vary during the event planning season with flexible work schedules for evening and weekend meetings.
Closing Date: 8/27/2025
Hours: 9:00am to 5:00pm (flexibility)
Days of Work: Seasonal Full-time (September to December)
Excepted workdays: Monday to Friday (Some weekends and nights, especially the weekend after Thanksgiving)
Travel: No
Salary: $24.04/Hour

Location: Onsite in metro area
Requirement:
Flexible work hours as some hours may need to go later in the day for event planning meetings
Two plus years of experience of successful project management
Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Word
Excel
Adobe
Power Point
Some knowledge in bookkeeping, budget and finance administration and reporting
Demonstrated strong ability to prioritize, work independently and collaboratively across multiple projects and teams
Strong customer service skills in assisting others
Understanding and solving complex issues using excellent oral and written communication skills
Detailed - oriented and comfortable work with a diverse team
Strong experience in executing contracts’ agreements
Punctual and reliable
Ability to multitask and take charge
Conflict resolution experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
Read, Write and speak Hmong
May need a valid driver’s license to get to and from meeting and run errands
Experience with web design, marketing and communications
Physical Qualifications:
Light to medium - may be required to assist with heavy boxes or equipment
