Mission

The United Hmong Family, Inc. exist to preserve cultural identity through intergenerational collaboration, involvement of Hmong clan structure, and youth leadership. In support of the mission, UHF, Inc. hosts two annual events, the July 4th Freedom Festival and the Minnesota Hmong New Year.

Canong Moua, Executive Director

Jack Vang, Program Manager

Canong Moua is the Executive Director of The United Hmong Family, Inc., where she leads initiatives to strengthen community connections, promote cultural preservation, and oversee the Paid Leave Public Outreach Grants.

Her experience spans nonprofit leadership, healthcare operations, program development, and financial management, with a focus on building partnerships, managing programs, and supporting organizational growth.

In addition to her leadership role, she previously served as an Adjunct Faculty member at Saint Paul College. She holds a Master of Accounting from Western Governors University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Capella University.

Outside of her professional responsibilities, Canong values spending time with her family, staying connected to her community, and supporting initiatives that promote cultural engagement and lifelong learning.

Jack Ger Vang, known as Jack GV, is a leading creative voice in the Hmong community. Jack has contributed to major Hmong events including the Hmong International Freedom Festival, MN Hmong New Year, Hmong American Day, and State Fair Hmong Day, and has performed across the country. In joining the United Hmong Family, Inc., through his artistry and advocacy, he hopes to inspire the next generation of Hmong youth to pursue their passions with confidence and pride in managing our programs.

With over a decade in the Hmong music industry, he has championed both established and emerging artists while building his own reputation as a musician, content creator, and cultural influencer. His work spans singing, songwriting, videography, photography, and education—each rooted in his commitment to uplifting his community.

Pao Xiong, Office Administrator

Hello, my name is Pao Xiong, and I am the Office Administrator at the United Hmong Family, Inc. I am proud to be in this role because it gives me the opportunity to be part of a team that makes a positive impact and contributes to the Hmong community. I look forward to continuing to grow in my role and supporting the mission of the organization.
