Job Announcement

We are looking for a Program Manager to organize and coordinate programs for The United Hmong Family, Inc. You will help with strategic guidance to team, coordinate programs and oversea the progress of operations with our office staff and volunteers.  You will report directly to the board in the organization to plan and coordinate programs for our two large events; ensure and implement policies and practices; and assist with maintaining budget and tracking expenditures/transactions.  Work hours may vary during event planning seasons.

Closing Date: May 19, 2025

Work Shift/Work Hours:  9:00am to 5:00 pm

Salary: $24.04/hour

Days of Work: Monday to Friday

Benefits: None

Travel Required: No

Location: Onsite in metro area

Requirements

  • Flexible work hours as some hours may need to go later in the day for event planning meetings.

  • Two plus years of experience of successful project management.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Adobe, and PowerPoint

  • Some knowledge in bookkeeping, budget and finance administration and reporting

  • Demonstrated strong ability to prioritize, work independently and collaboratively across multiple projects and teams

  • Strong customer service skills in assisting others and understanding and solving complex issues using excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Detail-oriented and comfortable working with a diverse team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Read, write, and speak Hmong.

  • Experience with web design, marketing, and communications

  • Experience with maintaining spreadsheets, reviewing financial statements, tracking and documenting programs and or maintaining contracts.

  • May need a valid driver’s license to drive to and from meetings or run errands.

Physical Qualifications

Light to medium:  May be required to carry heavy boxes or equipment.
